Terms of Service

1. The service

The service lets you set up, monitor and control compatible ChipNexa devices from your phone, over the internet or directly on your home network, and run schedules, scenes and rules. Features may change as we improve it.

2. Your account

• Give a real email address you control, and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You may share devices or homes with other people. They can then see and control what you share until you stop sharing.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account).

3. Devices and safety

• Devices that switch mains power must be installed by a qualified electrician, following local electrical rules and the device's instructions.
• Do not use the service to control anything where a failure, delay or unexpected switching could cause injury, death or serious damage (for example medical, life-support or safety equipment). Internet, Wi-Fi, power or service outages can stop control or delay it.
• Schedules and rules run on our servers or on the device; they may not run while a device or the service is offline.
• We may deliver firmware updates to your devices to fix problems, improve security or add features.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no access to devices or accounts that are not yours, no interfering with or overloading the service, no reverse engineering except as the law allows, and no unlawful use.

5. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Availability

We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance or security. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

7. Ownership

The app, firmware and service are ChipNexa's. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app with your devices. Third-party components are credited in the app (About → Third-party licences).

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, ChipNexa is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by outages, misuse, faulty installation or third-party services, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Vadodara, Gujarat have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
